The word travels quickly.

Most new students arrive through a neighbor, a preschool teacher, or a family friend — not an advertisement.

When we started classes with Lidia we had no idea that our boys would blossom as Spanish speakers the way they have. She understands kids, and kids feel uplifted in her classes — which makes them feel safe and confident.

When we first came to Lidia, they only knew how to say hello in Spanish. I now hear them singing songs, repeating a poem and quizzing each other with new Spanish words. She is very intuitive with each kid and completely gets on their level.

Lidia brings Spanish to life for the kids. My son always looks forward to her class, and it was great to see him spontaneously use Spanish for fun at restaurants and while traveling.

Going in they had very little knowledge of Spanish, but by the end of the week they were counting, knew their colors and having short conversations with each other! Everything she taught was hands on. Highly recommend!

The Everyday Immersion method

Children become speakers by speaking.

Most programs wait until a child knows enough Spanish to speak. Lidia’s classes begin with speaking — on day one, in the first ten minutes — and build everything else around it.

01

Confidence before perfection

Mistakes are evidence of learning, so children keep talking.

02

Useful language over long lists

A small amount of new Spanish is practiced again and again in real situations.

03

Joy is part of the method

Songs, games, books, cooking, and movement are how children remember.

04

Parents are conversation partners

You don’t need fluency — just one practiced question at the dinner table.

Lidia Brodine — teacher, author, and mom.

Born and raised in Honduras, Lidia has spent years teaching Spanish to Oklahoma children in living rooms, preschools, churches, and classrooms. When she couldn’t find books that felt like her classes, she wrote them.

Four bilingual books and more than 5,000 copies later, families use her stories between lessons. She has also written and taught Spanish curriculum from elementary through high school.
